The Full Story

About Me

Hello! Ever since I was young, I’ve felt a warmth for helping others. In elementary school, I often skipped recess to eat lunch with a classmate with special needs because I could not bear the idea of him eating alone.

I transitioned from serving as a special needs teacher, then licensed behavioral therapist, to a career in health care as a Behavioral Nurse Practitioner, because I wanted to integrate my passion for education, child development, science & health care reform.

In graduate school, I created my own clinical practicum curriculum and sought out providers who were at the forefront of innovation in developmental medicine. Today, I bring a 15-year breadth of experience and enduring passion to every patient interaction, assessment, and treatment plan.

My Core Values

  1. Connection.  I practice in CONNECTION with patients and community.

  2. Awe.  I share my passion for helping others so that my patients may experience the same sense of AWE in their learnings.

  3. Held.  I ensure that patients are HELD with care, as this creates a safe space for authenticity and growth.

  4. Ease.  My process of care allows patients to feel at EASE so they can focus on living their lives.

For Fun

Some of my fondest childhood memories include playing outside in the forested corner of my Oregon backyard; running around the high desert and orchard valleys where my grandparents resided; and swimming with friends, family and neighbors.

As an adult, I rediscovered this joy in the ocean, valleys and mountains of Northern California.

In my free time, I can be found trail running with my dog, Boonie; chasing waves in Santa Cruz; or open-water swimming wherever I can - sometimes with seals, dolphins and whales!
